Hot dogs and hamburgers are always appeasing to young tummies. Prepare the patties and other frozen meat beforehand and keep them in a cooler until ready to grill. If you are bringing along a griddle or pan, try grilled cheese. However, if you are backpacking, opt for quesadillas because tortillas will not get squished in your pack. You can also use the latter to give a fun twist to the traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Another yummy and easy option would be individual pizzas. To make this, use pita bread as crust, and then add sauce, cheese, and toppings. They can be heated inside a Dutch oven or over a foil covered grill.
